GAURISAGAR: Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Sivasagar, an apex training institute of Punjab National Bank (PNB), organized a day-long training programme on poultry farming. The training programme was formally inaugurated by Naveen Dihingra, Chief General Manager (CGM) NABARD, Assam Regional Office, by lighting the lamp. An inaugural meeting was held under the chairmanship of Pabitra Kumar Borah, Director, RSETI. Addressing the trainers, the CGM urged them to come forward and avail the opportunities for self-employment through various schemes launched by the Central and State governments.
In the function, Kishore Rabha, DDM, NABARD Sivasagar, Dipak Kumar, LDM, PNB and journalist-cum-social activist Rajib Dutta were present. Besides, the CGM also inaugurated new infrastructure (Computer Laboratory) of RSETI under CAPEX support from NABARD at the cost of Rs 4.41 lakh. A total of 35 trainers took part in the training hailing from various parts of the Sivasagar district.
