Assam: Senior police officer Parthasarathi Mahanta offered VP post by Six-a-Side Cricket Federation of India

Guwahati: Parthasarathi Mahanta, the Assam police officer who currently serves as the Superintendent of Police of Kamrup district, has been offered the post of Vice President by the Six-a-Side Cricket Federation of India.

Offering the post to Mahanta, Dev Balhara, the Secretary-General of the federation, wrote, "I am very impressed with the dynamic personality of your good self and passion for taking games and sports at new heights. Being the Secretary-General of Six-A-Side Cricket Federation of India, I would like to offer your good self the post of Vice – President of Six-A-Side Cricket Federation of India. I hope under your Vice-Presidentship the Six-A-Side Cricket Federation of India would definitely achieve the greater heights in the days to come."

Balhara further added that he is looking forward to Parthasarathi Mahanta's positive response to the proposal and looking forward to a "long and happy association" with the officer.

As per the official website of the Six-A-Side Cricket Federation of India, the main objective of SASCFI is to "promote and encourage the sport of Six-A-Side Cricket in India by organizing training programs, tournaments/competitions for the players and impart knowledge and technique of the sport of Six-A-Side Cricket in India."

The SASCFI Organizes Four National, Five Zonal-Level, Inter-University, Inter-School Championships & Various Training Programs in a year for various categories.
