ASSAM: On January 3rd in Sivasagar, the finals of Khel Maharan at district level were initiated by the local administration. The event took place at Sivasagar Boarding Field and promised an exciting display of athleticism. Topon Kr Gogoi, MP Jorhat graced the inauguration ceremony held on Wednesday evening highlighting government's dedication towards discovering and fostering sporting talents across all corners of state through their Khel Maharan program.
Mr. Gogoi delivered a speech filled with vigor, emphasizing the cruciality of events like Khel Maharan in affording young athletes an opportunity to exhibit their talents. He stressed that this initiative not only encourages healthy competition but also acts as a critical launchpad for budding sports aficionados.
A notable assemblage, which encompassed prominent individuals like DC Sivasagar Aditya Vikram Yadav and SP Sivasagar Subhrajyoti Bora along with other dignitaries, extended their backing to the venture during the inauguration ceremony. In terms of participation in various blocks and Panchayats throughout the league stage of this competition, more than 70 thousand young students displayed tremendous enthusiasm.
