DEMOW: The national conclave on the endorsement of the National Action Plan for Prevention and Control of Snakebite Envenoming (NAP-SE) was held in New Delhi for two days recently.
Dr Surajit Giri, an anesthesia as well as snake bite specialist in Demow Model Hospital-cum-CHC, informed that State Nodal Officers from all States of India, doctors, herpetologists, NGO members, researchers and scientists, anti-venom manufacturing company representatives, and other stakeholders participated in the workshop. Dr Giri was given the responsibility to present their model. He informed that he was the only doctor from the CHC. He also informed that their model had been adopted and would be included in the draft to be prepared by the Government of India.
