LAKHIMPUR: The Lakhimpur District Committee of Socialist Unity Centre of India-Communist (SUCI-C) staged a protest against Israel for continuing its attack on Palestine. The protest programme was initiated in connection with the nationwide “Dhikkar Divas”, called to carry out by the national committee of the SUCI-C to demand Israel to stop its war against Palestine.
In support of the demand, the members of the Lakhimpur District Committee of the SUCI-C burnt the effigy of Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel and Joe Biden, the President of the USA in North Lakhimpur town near Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital. Prajjal Dev, the member of the Assam State Committee of the political party took part in the protest programme. During the demonstration, the protesters shouted slogans against Israel and appealed the people to stand against war.
