Assam: Stray buffalo in search of food creates panic in southern part of Sootea

A stray buffalo that came out of the sixth edition of the KNP in search of food created panic among the villagers of the southern part of Sootea that share a boundary with KNP.

JAMUGURIHAT: A stray buffalo that came out of the sixth edition of the KNP in search of food created panic among the villagers of the southern part of Sootea that share a boundary with KNP. According to information, local residents had spotted a wild buffalo taking rest at a plot of mustard cultivation. Local residents immediately informed the forest department about the stray buffalo. Accordingly, a team of foresters reached that area and inspected the movement of the wild buffalo. The team will send the buffalo back to the KNP at night on Thursday, a forest official said.
