Assam Teacher Kumud Kalita Receives National Teachers' Award 2023

This distinguished accolade, to be presented by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, serves as a testament to Kalita's unwavering commitment to the field of education. Kalita, whose teaching prowess shines at Pathshala Senior Secondary School, joins the ranks of 75 exceptional teachers across the nation who are being recognized with the National Teachers' Award for the year 2023.

The honor extends beyond Assam's borders, with five more esteemed teachers from the Northeast region set to receive this noteworthy award. Among them are Netai Chandra Dey from Ramakrishna Mission School in Arunachal Pradesh, Ningthoujam Binoy Singh of Chingmei Upper Primary School in Manipur, Dr. Purna Bahadur Chhetri from Govt. Senior Secondary School in Sikkim, Lalthianghlima representing Govt. Diakkawn High School in Mizoram, and Madhav Singh from Alpha English Higher Secondary School in Meghalaya.
