ASSAM: On January 20, 2024, Assam will receive a visit from Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He is set to officially launch the Brahmaputra Riverfront beautification project in Panbazar, Guwahati during his trip and unveil various significant development plans for the state as well.

The visit of Union Home Minister, Amit Shah to Guwahati has been confirmed by Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika. As per the statement, he would be participating in three government programs on January 20th. One of them is the passing parade program organized at Sarusajai Stadium under Assam Police's banner. Apart from that, there are two more events scheduled for him during his stay in Guwahati city.

Hazarika conveyed his excitement about Shah's forthcoming arrival and shared that over 60,000 members of the BJP party would offer a cordial reception across multiple venues. He emphasized by saying "We have nearly 60,000 BJP workers ready to welcome the Union Home Minister at various locations which will result in an impressive greetathon for him when he is here."

On Monday, a thorough evaluation of the situation was conducted by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to prepare for Shah's arrival. The beautification initiative of the Brahmaputra Riverfront is a notable project that seeks to elevate the visual allure of Panbazar and promote the advancement of this area.
