Assam: Three fake eunuchs arrested by a Crime Intelligence Branch team

Three fake eunuchs were arrested on Monday by a CIB (Crime Intelligence Branch) team led by Sub Inspector Digambar Deka in Train No-12510 DN from Rangiya to New Bongaigaon.

BONGAIGAON: Three fake eunuchs were arrested on Monday by a CIB (Crime Intelligence Branch) team led by Sub Inspector Digambar Deka in Train No-12510 DN from Rangiya to New Bongaigaon. Talking to media, Inspector of RPF, New Bongaigaon said that during drive period after passing PTLD Railway station, they noticed that some eunuchs (hijras) were forcefully collecting money from the travelling passengers of Coach No-NF/135245 attached with Train No- 12510 DN.

“Further, they approached the persons while they were collecting money from the travelling passengers. Immediately they apprehended and on interrogation they admitted that they disguised themselves as eunuch so that they can collect money from railway passenger easily. Further on being asked they disclosed their names as Saheb Ali, alias Puja, (19) years, Shahanur Rahman, alias Kusum, (24 years) and Mirazul Islam, alias Durga (18 years). Then on suspicion they searched and found three android mobile phones (one mobile handset of VIVO Y-27 Model No-V-2027 with Airtel sim vide No-8099446821 and Rs. 140/ from Saheb Ali, one mobile handset of Techno Model No. Techno LE-6 with Jio sim No-8822723670 and Rs. 190 from Shahanur Rahman and one mobile handset of Realme Mobile Phone Model No-RMX3171 with Airtel sim vide no-8099585380 and Rs. 175 from Mirazul Islam. All three persons were taken into custody and on arrival of the said train at NBQ Railway station the apprehended persons detrained from the said train and all the recovered articles were seized by SI Digambar Deka of CIB Rangiya from their position in presence of available witnesses and brought to RPF POST/New Bongaigaon. The three individuals were also sent to Railway Hospital in New Bongaigoan for medical evaluations, where doctors confirmed that all three of them were males,” IPF said. All the three persons along with their mobile handsets and total cash Rs. 505 were forwarded to GRP/NBQ for further necessary action.
