BILASIPARA: Three miscreants with firearms entered the Shashargoan village at dawn on Saturday on a motorcycle.
A villager, Nandan Nath became suspicious and asked the miscreants some questions about why they had come to the village. The miscreants allegedly beat him up. When other villagers heard Nath’s shouting, they came out. The miscreants then fled but they fired one round from their pistol before fleeing.
Senior police officials rushed to the spot and started an investigation. Within a few hours, seven miscreants were nabbed from various places of the Dhubri district.
