Assam: Three youths looted Rs 75,000 from small tea grower in Doomdooma

Three youths looted Rs 75,000 from a small tea grower (STG) by throwing itching powder on his neck when he was coming out from the Punjab National Bank, Doomdooma Branch, near Gandhi statue of the town, on Wednesday.

DOOMDOOMA: Three youths looted Rs 75,000 from a small tea grower (STG) by throwing itching powder on his neck when he was coming out from the Punjab National Bank, Doomdooma Branch, near Gandhi statue of the town, on Wednesday.

According to reports, the three unidentified youths threw the itching medicine on the neck of the small tea grower named Kabir Das Tanti while he coming out of the bank after withdrawing the money and was on the road just infront of the bank. Being unable to bear the irritation of itching, Kabir Das Tanti left the bag at a shop in the Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha Commercial Complex and went to wash his neck.

Taking advantage of this, the three youths who followed him (Tanti), snatched the bag from the shop and fled the spot. Kabir Das Tanti immediately informed the nearby Doomdooma Police station about the incident. The CCTV footage showed the incident clearly. Yet the police have not been able to apprehend the culprits.
