Assam: Tinsukia district administration signs MoU with Indian Oil Corporation Limited

An MoU was signed between Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Digboi and Tinsukia district administration to support TB patients in Tinsukia district in respect of nutritional support under Ni-kshay Mitra initiative at Jubilee Complex of Digboi Refinery on Tuesday.

TINSUKIA : An MoU was signed between Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Digboi and Tinsukia district administration to support TB patients in Tinsukia district in respect of nutritional support under Ni-kshay Mitra initiative at Jubilee Complex of Digboi Refinery on Tuesday. A total of 1298 TB patients were adopted by the Nikshay Mitras of IOCL out of which 50 TB patients were being ceremonially adopted in the programme under CSR initiative of Indian Oil.

Swapneel Paul, Tinsukia District Commissioner graced the occasion as chief guest in the programme along with Chinmoy Pathak, ADC Health Tinsukia, Shushanta Kr Das, CGM (T) Digboi Refinery, Kamal Basumatary GM (HR), Digboi Refinery and Ranjith Ram Divisional forest officer, Digboi.

Ni-kshay Mitrais, an initiative under the “Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (PMTBMBA), implemented by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare that seeks to eliminate TB by 2025 - five years ahead of the global goal of 2030 provides additional diagnostic, nutritional, and vocational support by elected representatives, corporates, organisations, NGOs, and individuals to those undergoing TB treatment. Dr Jayanta Bhattacharjee, Jt DHS Tinsukia along with Dr Rani Gogoi, District Programme Officer, District TB Cell Tinsukia and officials from district Health Department Tinsukia were also present in the meeting.
