GUWAHATI: In a heart-wrenching incident in the Goalpara district of Assam, two young lives were lost when their motorcycle collided with a utility pole near Baguan village in Kharmuza Tehsil. The victims, Sariful Islam and Akthar Hussain met a tragic demise as the motorcycle was reportedly speeding at the time of the accident. The high-impact collision not only claimed the lives of Islam and Hussain but also left another individual, identified as Ashraful Haque, injured.

Local sources revealed that the police were alerted to the scene following a tip, and upon arrival, they recovered the bodies of the deceased for post-mortem examinations. Simultaneously, the injured individual, Haque, was swiftly transported to the emergency room for medical attention.

This unfortunate incident follows another distressing motorcycle collision earlier this month in the Palashbari region of South Kamrup, Assam. Two minors, Amlan Jyoti Das and Chandan Ali, lost their lives in a devastating high-speed crash while en route to a sporting event in Borihat. The motorcycle driver lost control, resulting in a fatal collision with an electrical pole by the roadside.

The young victims, Das from Boriyapara and Ali from Moniyeri Tiniali, succumbed to their injuries at the scene, leaving their respective school communities and the entire region in a profound state of sorrow. The unexpected loss of these lives has cast a pall of grief over the affected communities, emphasizing the need for increased awareness about road safety and responsible riding.
