BARPETA: The police of Barpeta Road seized a truck carrying 500 stolen bags of cement. On September 16, a truck of a cement company was carrying 500 bags of cement to Dhubri. When the truck did not reach Dhubri, the cement company dealer lodged an FIR at the Barpeta Road police station. On the basis of that FIR, a case was registered (134/23) by Barpeta Road police. After the investigation, the police not only seized the 500 stolen bags of cement but also arrested Khutajul Hoque, the truck driver from Siliguri. There might be some other persons also involved in this theft, stated OM Prakash Tiwari, OC, Barpeta Road police station.
