Assam: Two missing Arunachalee children rescued in Duliajan

Displaying an exemplary spirit of coordination and mutual cooperation, the team of Assam-Arunachal police successfully rescued the two missing minors of Arunachal’s Namsai district from Duliajan on Friday evening.

BORDUMSA: Displaying an exemplary spirit of coordination and mutual cooperation, the team of Assam-Arunachal police successfully rescued the two missing minors of Arunachal’s Namsai district from Duliajan on Friday evening.

The rescued minors belong to Momong village under Chongkham police station in the Namsai district. They had gone missing since August 25.

“Upon recipet of credible information from SP Namsai about the caller location showing Namrup area close to the police station, we swung into action immediately and made an intense search,” said OC Namrup Sidheswar Boro, adding, “However, the minors switched off the mobile phone and changed their location.”

Meanwhile, the search continued activating all possible sources to trace the missing minors. A team of Namsai police led by SI R Kahik reached Namrup and launched an operation in active cordination with the local police. The police, with the help of the mothers of the children who had also accompanied the Namsai Police, could recognize the children walking along the road in Duliajan area in the Dibrugarh district and rescued them immediately.

Lauding the active support and coordination of Assam police and Inter-State Coordination Commiittee for its effective liasoning, SP Namsai Sangey Thinley said, “My special appreciation to OC Namrup for his quick response making the recovery swift and peaceful.”
