Assam: UPPL Announces Candidates For Assam Assembly By-Election

The United People's Party Liberal has announced the names of candidates contesting in the Assam Assembly By-Election which is scheduled to be held on October 30, 2021.

Kokhrajhar: The United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) has announced the names of candidates who will be contesting in the Assam Assembly By-Election which is scheduled to be held on October 30, 2021.

The announcement was made in a press release issued by the party dated October 3, 2021. The candidates belonging to the United  People's Party Liberal who will be contesting in the Assam Assembly By-Election are Mr Jiron Basumatary, son of Lt. Thaneswar Basumatary, from 28 Gossaingaon Legislative Assembly Constituency and Jolen Daimary, son of Biren Daimary, from 58 Tamulpur Legislative Assembly Constituency.

The press release read, "On notification of the Assam Assembly By-Election, scheduled to be held on 30th October, 2021 the United People's Party, Liberal (UPPL) has announced the following name of the contesting Candidate against the Constituency as mention below."

The press release was shared by the Chief Executive Member of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) Pramod Boro on his official Twitter handle. The tweet read, "Heartiest best wishes to @TheUPPLOfficial candidates Shri Jiron Basumatary & Shri Jolen Daimary for the upcoming bypolls for Gossaigaon & Tamulpur LACs respectively. I am confident of their success & also wish them great strength to contest the bypolls."
