Assam: Vigilance awareness programme organized in Nagaon district

As per national priorities, NABARD organized a Vigilance Awareness Programme (VAW) in Nagaon district with the theme ‘Say No to Corruption; Commit to the Nation’ and administered the integrity pledge among the participants from various NGOs, FPOs, SHGs etc on Monday.

NAGAON: As per national priorities, NABARD organized a Vigilance Awareness Programme (VAW) in Nagaon district with the theme ‘Say No to Corruption; Commit to the Nation’ and administered the integrity pledge among the participants from various NGOs, FPOs, SHGs etc on Monday. The programme was organized in the office premises of Naba Laokhowa Agro Producers Company Ltd. at Teromile, Laokhowa, which was promoted by NABARD along with Access Dev. Services.

While addressing the participants, Rajendar Perna, DDM-NABARD said corruption has been one of the major obstacles to economic, political and social progress of the country and the society as a whole.

All the stakeholders like government, citizens, private sectors etc. should work together for eradication of corruption, he said, adding that every citizen should be vigilant and commit to the highest standards of honesty at all the times and support the fight against corruption. He also administered the pledge for integrity among all the participants. In his speech, Perna, also spoke about the Ghar Ghar KCC Abhiyan (GGKA) which is being implemented in the district since October 1, 2023 and added that the current round of Abhiyan, will be continued till December 31.
