Assam: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra flagged off in Golaghat distric

GOLAGHAT: Preparations for the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra have been completed across the country as well as in Golaghat district of Assam. On Thursday, District Commissioner Dr P Uday Pravin flagged off the rally on a vehicle for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra near the District Commissioner’s office in Golaghat town.

It is to be noted that the programme of Bharat Sankalp Yatra was started from West Kaziranga Gram Panchayat of Golaghat district. The yatra will conclude on November 24 covering 102 panchayats of the district. As part of this yatra, the gathering will be provided information about government schemes. Health camps, quiz competitions etc. will also be organized to help the people. The aim of this yatra is to create awareness among the people about the welfare schemes and policies of the central government and to ensure proper implementation of these government schemes.

The programme was attended by Additional District Commissioners of Golaghat district Damodar Barman and Syed Wasbir Subhani and Chief Executive Officer of Golaghat Zilla Parishad, In-charge District Information and Public Relations Officer Gaurav Borthakur, Golaghat District Administration, Officials of Golaghat Zilla Parishad as well as various divisional representatives of Golaghat.
