Assam: Will Not Run Government In Hagrama Style, Says Pramod Boro

GUWAHATI: The leader of BTR (Bodoland Territorial Region) stated that he will not operate the government in the way it was run by Hagrama during his rule.

His statement about running the government criticized the BPF (Bodoland People's Front) and Hagrama Mohilary, the former Chief Executive Member of the Bodoland Territorial Council.

While addressing the media on Saturday the BTR chief said that his only goal as a leader is to provide a better environment for the 35 lakh people residing in the Bodoland territorial region.

His target emphasizes on proper well-being of these people in the region so that they are able to survive a better lifestyle.

Boro also said that the Bodoland People's Front (BPF) has failed to manage the government in proper systematic order at the time when they were in power and this is the reason that now they are making various attempts to criticize the government at present.

He added that just to gain certain power in his position he would never keep the citizens under any fear or pressure as he is not that type of person.

At the time when Hagrama was in power several professors, teachers and many journalists were brutally killed in the area as claimed by the BTR leader.

He stated that the person who is a failure himself in running the government under him has no right to criticize others.

Boro also claimed that during the rule of Hagrama, many teachers were beaten up at present under the rule of him people are living in peace with a complete change in what was happening earlier.
