Assam: Woman Found Hanging In Dhubri, Husband Remains Absconded

GUWAHATI: On Wednesday, a shocking episode came to light where a woman was found hanging in Dhubri district of Assam. As per sources, the incident took place in Jogipara area of Chapar and the deceased has been identified as Ajabanu Bibi. Bibi was found dead and hanging on a rope.

It has been alleged that the deceased was killed by her own husband, however, in order to cover up the crime her husband made the incident look like a suicide. The deceased’s husband has been identified as Anwar Hussain.

The speculation increased as Anwar was nowhere to be found following his wife’s demise. It has been suspected that, Anwar was having an extra marital affair due to which he killed his wife.

However, proper investigation and evidence is on process by police regarding the matter. Furthermore, the concerned police unit have launched a man hunt to nab Anwar and bring forth the truth. Ajabanu was the mother of three children, who are currently under extreme grief circumstances.

On Wednesday, another horrific incident occurred where a woman stabbed her husband to death in Silchar. The incident took place in Silchar’s Kabiura Meherpur and the accused has been identified as Mappi Begum. The matter got exposed after Mappi herself walked into the police station and confessed her crime.

The deceased husband who was stabbed mercilessly has been identified as Farmin Uddin Laskar. Currently, with each passing day, gruesome acts are being put on the light day after the other. While the entire city of Guwahati is still trying to digest the Bandana Kalita case, another such incident got exposed.

Bandana who killed her husband and mother in law has been remanded six more days of detention. She was inside the custody from Saturday.
