NAGAON: A two day-long district level workshop on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Mock Exercise for implementing the Assam Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Roadmap 2030 in the district was organized from Monday by the District Disaster Management Authority of Nagaon in association with Assam State Disaster Management Authority, Government of Assam.
The Additional District Commissioner and CEO of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Nagaon - Manoroma Marang inaugurated the programme in the presence of Bibek Mahato, Technical Support Unit (TSU), Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), Mridusmita Borah, Project Officer, DRR, ASDMA, District Project Officer of DDMA Nagaon - Bijayanta Goswami, Field Officers (FOs), Heads of Departments (HoDs), and Nodal Officers from various line departments among others.
It was stated in an official release that the workshop and mock exercises to be held during the programme, will encompass the understanding of Assam DRR Roadmap 2030, the roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders involved and process of implementation in collaboration with the communities of the district among many other related topics.
