PATHSALA: An unusual wedding with surprising decorations, including the use of banana leaves, pigeon's nest, and bamboos, has come to light at a time when several news stories about weddings are going viral on social media for all the wrong reasons. Bikash Kalita, an environmentalist, designed his wedding panel at his house to be as green as he could. “As a professional guitarist and a member of the cultivators group, a well-known Assamese music group, Kalita is from the lower Assamese town of Pathsala.“On the occasion of his birthday, he had previously cycled 100 kilometres to raise awareness about global warming, from Asia's second-largest tree in Jalikhata, Pathsala, to Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Samadhi Kshetra in Guwahati.
