ATARI principal scientist visits Krishi Vigyan Kendra Dibrugarh

The principal scientist of Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI) of Zone VI, Guwahati of ICAR, Dr Rajumoni Bordoloi recently visited the Romai-based Krishi Vigyan Kendra Dibrugarh (AAU).

TINSUKIA: The principal scientist of Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI) of Zone VI, Guwahati of ICAR, Dr Rajumoni Bordoloi recently visited the Romai-based Krishi Vigyan Kendra Dibrugarh (AAU).

During the visit, he interacted with all the specialists of the Kendra to take stock of the functioning of the Kendra for the greater benefit of the farming community of the district. He was briefed about the overall the activities of this institute by the senior subject-matter specialist, Hemchanda Saikia.

Dr Bordoloi appreciated the way KVK Dibrugarh was continuously working in terms of suitable technology dissemination, demonstration and other capacity-building measures and expressed his satisfaction at the way the KVK Firm was maintained to showcase the various improved technologies for the greater benefit of the farming community. He also interacted with the RAWEP students of AAU (Assam Agricultural University), Jorhat who are stationed there for completion of their assignments. Addressing them, he dwelt on the need for a healthy life encompassing physical, mental, spiritual and societal life, besides giving them some key elements of career development.

Dr Bordoloi also distributed improved breed of ducklings to the farmers of the district.

All the scientists and staff were greatly encouraged after the fruitful interaction and advice of Dr Rajumoni Bordoloi and thanked him for visiting to the Kendra.
