Awareness campaign for distance education conducted at Nagaon Girls’ College

An awareness campaign regarding admission for distance education at Krishna Kanta Handique Open State University (KKHSOU) was organized on Monday at the auditorium of Nagaon Girls’ College.

NAGAON: An awareness campaign regarding admission for distance education at Krishna Kanta Handique Open State University (KKHSOU) was organized on Monday at the auditorium of Nagaon Girls’ College.

The programme was initiated to cover the students from Nagaon, Morigaon, Hojai, Dima Hasao, and Karbi Anglong districts of the state. Dr. Tusheswar Nath, the president of the college management committee, chaired the programme while Rajendra Prasad Das, vice chancellor of KKHSOU, attended the programme as the chief keynote speaker. Besides Dr. Dibyajyoti Mahanta, Dean, various study centres of the varsity also attended the programme and spoke on the importance of distance education across the state. Dr. Kulen Das, principal of Nagaon Girls’ College, and Dr. Ramesh Nath, principal of Nagaon Khagarijan College, were among those who also attended the programme and spoke on the importance of distance education.

Over 100 students, teachers, and other coordinators of various study centres for distance education participated in the awareness programme, as a press note stated.
