JORHAT: The Agriculture department of Jorhat district will observe 'Sali Dhan Shasya Bima Saptah' under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) from July 1 to July 7.
Official sources said that in accordance with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, awareness meetings on the crop insurance scheme of the Centre will be held in areas under the gaon panchayats for the benefit of farmers. Farmers who are interested will have to submit photocopies of Aadhaar card, land documents and bank passbook in the meetings to be organized in the panchayat-level.
