KALAIGAON: An awareness meeting on coronavirus recently was held at Dhongpara under Bhergaon subdivision with youth leaders of Dumpur Barkshri Sangha.

A senior organizer of Nehru Yuva Kendra from Udalguri, Shekhar Dev, in the awareness meeting opined that there was nothing to panic and be scared of the virus which had mainly spilled over to other parts the world from China. "There is no reason to be afraid of this virus. The death rate of this disease is 2.5 percent much below that of Japanese Encephalitis, which is about 7 percent. Coronavirus is very contagious. Keep on washing hands, especially at regular intervals and after every short journey," said Dev. The main objective of the programme was 'Badarkar Apna Vayvahar, Corona Par Kare Bar". The team of Nehru Yuva Kenra, Udalguri also organized such awareness meetings in various places like Majbat, Bhalukmari Jungle, and Bamunjuli.
