Awareness on road safety measures held at Diphu Government Boys HS School

With an aim to bring awareness among the school students on road safety measures, the District Transport Department and the District Press Club of Karbi Anglong (DPCKA) jointly carried out an integrated road safety awareness programme at Diphu Government Boys Higher Secondary School on Friday, stated a press release.

DIPHU: With an aim to bring awareness among the school students on road safety measures, the District Transport Department and the District Press Club of Karbi Anglong (DPCKA) jointly carried out an integrated road safety awareness programme at Diphu Government Boys Higher Secondary School on Friday, stated a press release. The awareness programme has been largely participated by the students of Class-XI and Class-XII of Government Boys HS School.

District Transport Officer, Bikram Aditya Gogoi presented a significant measure of road safety to the students and said, “One should always follow the traffic rules and regulations which the government has set for every one of us. If you violate there is a price for it either you have to pay challan or to go to prison. DTO has also explained thoroughly the traffic signs and symbols to students.

Speaking to the media the DTO Gogoi said, “We have conducted a road safety awareness programme to students targeted to higher secondary and college students. The programme is initiated under Integrated Education Campaign on Road Safety to know more about road safety, to prevent them from the accident they are our future drivers. The programme will be continued in all educational institutions.

The programme was also attended by DPCKA president, Diganta Teron, general secretary Danielson Bey, senior journalist Sanju Bora and others.
