Awareness programme on Japanese Encephalitis held in Golaghat

A Japanese Encephalitis (JE) vaccination campaign for adults was held at the Pancha Tirtha Mandir on Saturday.

GOLAGHAT: A Japanese Encephalitis (JE) vaccination campaign for adults was held at the Pancha Tirtha Mandir on Saturday. The camp was organised by the Joint Director of Health Services, Golaghat in collaboration with Srimanta Sankardev Foundation and Assam Chamber of Commerce, Golaghat Unit.

Dr. Sunita Ekka, District TB Control Officer-cum-Nodal Officer, NRHM (Urban), Joint Director of Health Services, Golaghat explained the importance and highlighted the need to take vaccines against Japanese Encephalitis.

The programme aimed at raising awareness among the general public about the Japanese Encephalitis vaccination for people between the ages of 15 and 65. Suvansu Bora, president, Srimanta Sankardev Foundation, Golaghat provided a comprehensive overview of the management of Japanese Encephalitis.
