Awareness programme on menstrual health and hygiene held in Demow

DEMOW: Under the patronage of Indian Medical Association (IMA), Sibsagar branch and in collaboration with Demow Model Hospital, an awareness programme on menstrual and adolescent disorders was held in Demow Town High School on Thursday.

The awareness meeting was organized under the presidentship of Dr Prasanta Pratim Sarma, newly-appointed Deputy Superintendent of Demow Model Hospital.

Dr Malabika Baruah spoke broadly on the topic of adolescent health. Dr Vandana Gupta Sarma spoke on menstrual hygiene while Dr Lalit Borah spoke on obesity and menstrual health. Dr Surajit Giri, an anaesthesia specialist in Demow Model Hospital, also made students aware about the topics.
