Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav: Block-level Health Melas to be held in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: As a part of the celebration of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav', Block-level Health Melas will be conducted in Lakhimpur district from April 18 to April 22.

These Health Melas will be held with a day-long programme in the six Block Primary Health Centers (BPHCs) under the district. The events have been organized in view of providing quality health care services with essential medicines, through different systems of medicine, all free of cost. They will also help in informing people about the various health programs being carried out by the Central Government, State Government, NGOs etc.

The main components of health mela are – digital ID generation, issue of Ayushman Bharat Gold Card, Ned screening of oral cancer, diabetes, hyper tension etc, tele-consultation and referral, basic health care services of gynecology pediatrics, ENT, eye, dental, surgery, medicine etc, awareness generation and health education and promotion of welness activities like yoga, meditation etc..

Issue of Ayushman card and digital ID generation will be the prime focus of the Health Mela. Apart from these two, blood donation camp will also be held. For digital ID generation and Ayushmaan Card, beneficiaries will have to produce Aadhaar Card. If Aadhaar Card is not available, ID proof and address proof suchi as ration card, voter card etc will have to produced by the beneficiaries. The Health Mela will be conducted at Naoboich CHC on April 18, at Boginadi Model Hospital on April 19, at Narayanpur Model Hospital on April 20, at Bongalmora CHC on April 21, at hakuakhona SDCH and Ghilamora CHC on April 22.
