Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: Legal service awareness rally organized in Dhakuakhana

LAKHIMPUR: The Dhakuakhana Subdivisional Judiciary, in collaboration with the Dhakuakhana Bar Association and Police Administration, on Sunday organized a bicycle rally for creating awareness among the people regarding various free legal aid facilities provided by the District Legal Service Authority (DLSA).

The awareness rally was taken out at the behest of the DLSA, Lakhimpur from Sub-Divisional Judiciary campus covering Dhakuakhana town. Dhakuakhana Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate Sarswati Johari Padun flagged of the rally.

Besides Dhakuakhana Assistant Commissioner Masi Topno, hundreds of participants including members of the Dhakuakhana Bar Association, Village Defense Party from various areas of the subdivision, students of Harhi College, police personnel took active part in the rally.

The program was organized as part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' of the Government of India for the promotion of outreach services provided by the legal service institutions. In this connection, leaflets, containing information regarding various legal aids that can be availed of by the persons in need, were distributed among the people during the rally.
