Bagh Hazarika Jagaran Mancha Confers Abdus Sattar Memorial Award on Rajib Paul of Lakhimpur district

The Bagh Hazarika Jagaran Mancha on Thursday conferred the Abdus Sattar Memorial Award-Sahitya Saurabh Samman on Rajib Paul of Lakhimpur district.

LAKHIMPUR: The Bagh Hazarika Jagaran Mancha on Thursday conferred the Abdus Sattar Memorial Award-Sahitya Saurabh Samman on Rajib Paul of Lakhimpur district.

Notably, Rajib Paul, the meritorious student of Sonapur Pukhuria High School of Laluk area, secured the highest mark in the Assamese subject in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam this year, in addition to grabbing the fourth rank among the toppers. The award has been instituted by the organization in fond memory of noted literary figure Padma Shri Abdus Sattar and it has been conferred on Rajib Paul for securing the highest mark in the Assamese subject in the HSLC exam.

On Thursday, a delegation of Bagh Hazarika Jagaran Mancha, comprising of Lakhimpur unit secretary Jakir Hussain, patron Kalyani Chakraborti Gogoi, Ajmira Hussain, Rizwan Ahmed and Farid Uddin Ahmed, gave the award to Rajib Paul at his home as per decision taken by the central committee of the Bagh Hazarika Jagaran Mancha.
