Baithalangso MLA Rupsing Teron visited Mukro in West Karbi Anglong on Wednesday

HAMREN: Baithalangso MLA Rupsing Teron visited Mukro in West Karbi Anglong on Wednesday to enquire about the illegal land encroachment allegedly done by the people of Meghalaya on August 16-August 17.

MLA Teron had talks with the forest officials and village representatives of Mukro and advised them to maintain peace and tranquility in the border areas. The Forest Northern Range Office will be set up along with a water well and solar lights will be provided from the MLA scheme with a budget of Rs 20 lakhs, he said. He also assured that land pattas would be given to the people of Mukro.

Rechardson Hanse, Chairman, Border Development Board, Agustin Hanse, Chairman, Minority Development Board, and other officials accompanied him.
