MLA Angoorlata Deka visited Phanidhor Bora's family at Jajori and handed over Rs 2 lakh as ex gratia on behalf of the Government of Assam

BATADRAVA: MLA Angoorlata Deka visited Phanidhor Bora's family at Jajori on Tuesday and handed over Rs 2 lakh as ex gratia on behalf of the Government of Assam. Besides this, MLA Angoorlata gave Rs 50,000 to the family on her behalf.

Phanidhar Bora (51) died due to brutality of two police personnel, Paresh Sharma and Atikur Rahman of Jajori Police Station. The duo has been sent to 14 days judicial custody by Nagaon Court.

Meanwhile, MLA Angoolata also informed that Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal had given an order for Phanidhar Bora's murder case to be heard by a fastrack court. Nagaon Superintendent of Police Gaurav Abhijit Dilip also accompanied the MLA during her visit.
