Batadroba Police Station Arson Case: Another prime accused surrenders to Nagaon police

NAGAON: Jyotsnara Begum, the woman who burnt down the Batadroba Police Station and also attacked the police personnel inside the police station campus, finally surrendered to Nagaon police on Monday afternoon. She was absconding from police since the incident and took shelter at several hideouts in the remote riverine area under Dhing Police Station, sources said adding that in quest of her, police intensified a series of operations one after another at various places where police achieved no breakthrough in this regard.

Significantly, following the unfortunate death of Ashikul Islam, Jyotsnara Begum came out from her hideout and surrendered herself to Nagaon police. It is however expected that some people involved in the gruesome act of burning down the police station, will also surrender soon.
