LAKHIMPUR: A surgeon of Lakhimpur district has caught people’s attention and won their admiration by curing a patient of a poverty-stricken family after performing a free-of-cost surgical operation. The surgeon is Dr Ramananda Saikia who lives in North Lakhimpur town.
This surgeon recently accomplished a complex surgical operation in the abdomen of Pyarababu Prashad (16), son of Pyarelal Prasad, resident of DK Road, Ward No. 10 of the town. Pyarababu is the student of Class X in Asian Public School. The total cost of such an operation is more than Rs 50,000.
