GOLAGHAT: Preparations are going on in full swing to celebrate Bhogali Bihu in Golaghat district. People in Golaghat are busy making bhelaghar and meji.
Due to the restrictions enforced by the government due to the pandemic, people had to celebrate festivals in a low-key manner in the past few months. After some relaxation of COVID protocol, the people of Assam want to celebrate Bhogali Bihu in a joyous mood. In various villages in Golaghat district, villages have come together to bhela ghar and maji while young boys and girls are preparing to sing songs and do the Bihu dance.
