LAKHIMPUR: Along with the rest of the State, bicycles under Chief Minister’s Special Scheme were distributed among the Class-IX students of Lakhimpur on Friday.
In this connection, a ceremonial programme, under the aegis of the district administration and Education Department, was held at Tyag Kshetra of North Lakhimpur town wherein Revenue Minister Jogen Mohan was present as chief guest. In the programme, the minister ceremonially handed over bicycles to 20 students of the district. Speaking on the occasion, Jogen Mohan said that the Government of Assam had adopted various flagship schemes for the enhancement of the academic sector. He added that the schemes had benefitted the students by bringing drastic change to the academic sector of the State. He advised the students to earn the knowledge for life in the studenthood period with relentless endeavour and perseverance to shine in future.
