DHUBRI: The three-day 3rd biennial conference of medical microbiologist under the banner of Indian Association of Medical Microbiologist, Assam chapter, organized by Dhubri Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), concluded on Saturday. The conference was organized to create awareness on Antimicrobial Resistance among healthcare professionals with the theme, “Diagnostic Stewardship Bridging the Gap between Bed and Bench”.
On the first day of the congregation, a walkathon was taken out from DMCH premises to Boubazar Railway Level crossing point to create awareness among the people of Dhubri district on September 28 followed by an preparatory session.
While the two-day conference was inaugurated by Rajya Sabha MP and Chairman of DMCH Management Committee, Pabitra Margherita on September 29.
Margherita while addressing the well attended guests coming from Assam and other parts of the country, accorded welcome to them and said that there had been an immense contributions by microbiologists.
