BISWANATH CHARIALI: Biswanath district administration has opened a Control Room for COVID management and related issues. People can call the Control Room at 03715-22086, 1077 (Toll Free) or at 6002668873 (Mobile) for any information, help, complaint or feedback regarding Covid-related issues.

Further, to contain the spread of the disease the administration has already promulgated Section 144 of Cr PC and made wearing of face masks and maintaining social distancing mandatory at public places. The district administration has also made it mandatory for offices, educational institutions, and business establishments to have provision for thermal screening, hand wash and sanitizer.

On the other hand, two containment zones were declared on Friday by the Biswanath district administration in Behali post detection of two COVID positive cases. "Our top priority is to contain the spread of the disease at the very outset at any cost. All our measures are hence directed at this. We also seek full cooperation from public in our COVID management task and thus have set up the 24X7 Control Room with phone numbers," said Pranab Kumar Sarmah, Deputy Commissioner of Biswanath.
