DONGKAMUKAM: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has opened an election campaign office at No.1 Duar Amla MAC constituency. It was inaugurated by candidate Rupsing Teron in presence of MAC Prabhat Taro, BJPWKADC president Radip Ronghang and other dignitaries on Wednesday.
Rupsing Teron, the candidate of the BJP of 20th Boithalangso LAC, in his speech requested the voters to vote for him. "No one should be left out of the electoral process this time," he said. "Besides Autonomous State, I will raise voice for permanent solution to the border problem, employment, road connectivity and development," he assured. Local MAC Prabhat Taro urged the gathering to vote for the ruling BJP in the greater interest of development of the region.
On the other hand, All Party Hills Leaders Conference (APHLC) candidate Bikram Hanse and his supporters on Wednesday held a meeting at his residence at Vomu-atar under Bithung Rengthama MAC constituency, West Karbi Anglong. It was decided to take out a bike rally on Thursday to show his strength.
