TINSUKIA/DOOMDOOMA: Manoj Manki (53), State general secretary of BJP's tea cell and vice-president of Tinsukia district committee of BJP, has been removed from the post of vice-president for his alleged vulgar post on social media against a college girl residing at Kakopathar Kumsung TE.

In a release to the media, Lokheswar Moran, district BJP president, stated on Monday that the immoral act of Manki had tarnished the image of the party and he had been removed from the post with immediate effect. According to report, the girl, after being subjected to repeated indecent approaches by Manki, a father of three children, lodged an FIR at Kakopathar PS on Sunday. Though he absconded from his residence, he finally surrendered before Doomdooma Police on Monday. Having past records of luring married women with assurance to providing jobs and employment through social media, Manki was allegedly protected by political higher-ups. He even contested in the assembly election from Doomdooma LAC on AGP ticket before joining the BJP.
