Kokrajhar: Reacting to Assam BJP saying that they have snapped their ties with Bodoland Peoples Front (BPF), party chief Hagrama Mohilary said that the saffron party should 'do it practically rather than just talking about it'.

Mohilary said that he is confident of forming the next Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) with 25-30 seats. The leader further said that the alliance between the BJP and UPPL is no longer a secret and is out in the open. The UPPL and the BJP are trying to win about 16 seats, but that is never going to happen, Mohilary said.

He said, "BJP leaders Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Ranjit Kumar Dass has been saying in various campaigns that they have snapped their ties with BPF then why don't they do it practically. It would be better if they confirm whether they want to stay tied-up with BPF or not. We never said that we would snap the ties with BJP. It's BJP who is saying it constantly."

Once the BTC election will be done and we will form the BTC government, we will decide with whom we want to be with.

BTC election is scheduled on 7 and 10 December in two phases and the counting of votes will take place on December 12.
