BONGAIGAON: For the first time BJP gave a massive stroke in the fort of AGP, i.e. in Bongaigaon. In Bongaigaon town municipality election, BJP won by grabbing 13 seats out of 25 seats. AGP won in 11 whereas INC got only one.

This could be stated as a massive erosion in Bongaigaon AGP, which remained undrillable fort of AGP for the last 39 years. Stating this as a grand victory Himani Adhikari, President, Bongaigaon district BJP said that this became possible only because of the hardwork and dedication of BJP workers. "People have given us a chance to serve for them and we will prove it in coming days," she said. On the otherhand BJP also won in Abhayapuri Municipality Election by getting 8 seats out of total 11. AGP got 2 whereas INC got 1 here.
