KOKRAJHAR: The Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Boro Kachari Welfare Autonomous Council (BKWAC), Mihiniswar Basumatary on Saturday expressed deep sorrow over the demise of president of Jonai district Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS) and Headmaster of CB Bodo High School, Sanjari Nwgwr, Simen Chapori, Danswrang Brahma and condoled his untimely demise.
Danswrang Brahma was taken to AMCH, Dibrugarh following cardiac arrest but he breathed his last on Saturday at 5.25 am. He leaves behind his wife and two daughters. He was 41. He was the son of Lahit Brahma, retired LP School teacher and Rahini Brahma of Gwjwnpur, Sanjari Nwgwr, Simen Chapori, Dhemaji of Assam.
Meanwhile, the general secretary of the Indigenous Tribal Sahitya Sabha, Assam (ITSSA) Kamala Kanta Mashahary also expressed deep shock over Danswrang Brahma's demise and said that tribals as a whole had lost a good worker for the literary body and a sincere teacher. The ITSSA hoisted its flag at half mast as a mark of respect.
The Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS) and the ABSU also condoled his demise and shared the grief with family members.
