LAKHIMPUR: As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations and following the World Blood Donors Day 2023, a voluntary blood donation camp was organized by NHPC on Monday at Subansiri Lower Project. A large numbers of donors have voluntarily donated their blood in the blood donation camp which was organized in coordination with District Civil Hospital, Dhemaji and Lions Club, Silapathar.
Besides NHPC employees, CISF personnel posted at Subansiri Lower Project as well as other residents of the project township also donated their blood on the occasion. A number of volunteers with rare blood-groups have also registered for donating their blood. The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Vipin Gupta, Executive Director, Subansiri Lower HE Project who was also the ‘First Donor’ of the camp. Other Seniors officials of NHPC, CISF as well as local residents were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Vipin Gupta said that blood donation is a highly noble gesture which has many benefits and praised the donors who had come forward to donate their blood.
