KOKRAJHAR: Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) spokesperson and former deputy chief of BTC, Kampa Borgoyary on Wednesday reiterated that the BPF party had been working for restoration of permanent peace, progress and growth of cross sections of people of the region. He asserted that the decisions adopted by Election Commission of India for delimitation of constituencies will be accepted by the party.

Talking to media persons in Kokrajhar on Wednesday, he said if Kokrajhar and Udalguri are declared as parliamentary constituencies after delimitation, the BPF will project its candidates in both the constituencies. He said the BPF had decided not to go for pre-poll alliance with any political party but will go alone as the party is regaining its bases in the grassroots everywhere.

Referring to the reports of floating of a new insurgent group in the name of BLA (Boro Liberation Army), he sensed conspiracy and asserted that some nefarious forces are attempting to blame a particular community and stage them as insurgents. He further alleged that the saffron parties by spreading its tentacles in the Bodo belt are attempting to destroy the regional parties which will imply that the voices of tribes and communities will be muzzled.
