Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) pays maiden dividend for the fiscal 2020-21

The Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) declared a maiden dividend of 15.66 per cent on paid up equity share capital in the 14th Annual General Meeting (AGM)

DIBRUGARH: The Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) declared a maiden dividend of 15.66 per cent on paid up equity share capital in the 14th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the company held recently in Guwahati, which was attended through both physical and virtual modes. The total dividend payable is Rs. 222 crore.

Manoj Jain, chairman of BCPL, presided over the meeting through video conferencing from GAIL (India) Limited, New Delhi and it was attended by Reep Hazarika, Managing Director , Pruthiviraj Dash, Director (Finance) and other members of the BCPL Board and shareholders of the company.

The company successfully and safely operated the plant on a sustained basis at 106 per cent capacity utilization producing 2,85,984 MT of Polymers and 60,144 MT liquid hydrocarbons during the year despite the disruption caused by the ongoing pandemic. The products were marketed to downstream industries achieving Polymer sales of 3,05,749 MT.

The company made a strong comeback after witnessing revenue compression in the initial period of the fiscal due to the disruption caused by the pandemic, recording an increase in net worth to Rs. 2,811.26 crore from Rs 2,073.05 crore in the previous year. The authorized share capital of BCPL is Rs 2,000 crore and the paid-up capital is presently Rs.1,417.67 crores. With a turnover of Rs 2,449.66 crore, the Company earned a net profit of Rs 739.90 crores. An amount of Rs 11.50 crore was earmarked for CSR activities during the fiscal. The market share of the company is steadily increasing with growing credibility amongst customers.
