While one point of the bridge ends in front of the PWD campus, the other ends at the Brahmaputra Riverside. The total cost of construction is approximately Rs 16.60 crore and the construction will be done in not more than a year.

The foot bridge construction is carried on by Anil Das, who earlier established the Supermarket Flyover. The total length of the FOB is 73.93 metres, the length of the deck from the mid point towards the riverside is 11 metres. The length towards extending towards the PWD campus is 9.65 metres and the length of the deck along the median is 53.28 metres.

One perk of the foot bridge is that it will have both elevators and staircases on both the sides for people with impairment. The FOB will also have CCTV cameras for security and protection.
