BREAKING | SEBA Postpones HSLC Boards Exams

The new dates will be announced after the consultation with the health department.

GUWAHATI: In view of the COVID-19 situation in the state, the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) has postponed the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examinations 2021, said SEBA chairman Ramesh Chandra Jain.

The exams were scheduled to commence on May 11.

The new dates will be announced after the consultation with the health department.

Earlier, top leaders of the All Assam Students' Union (AASU) on Tuesday held a meeting with the chairman and secretary of the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) on the issues of the board's latest notification on the study of Assamese and holding of the HSLC/AHM examinations, 2021 amidst the fresh wave of COVID-19 infections in the State. Demanding complete withdrawal of the SEBA's April 12, 2021 notification the AASU leaders asked the board officials to ensure that no student from the SEBA affiliated pass the HSLC/AHM exams without studying Assamese as the main subject.
